छत्तीसगढ़ कांग्रेस के प्रदेश सचिव अमरजीत चावला ने बिलासपुर में कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं पर कांग्रेस भवन में घुसकर निहत्थे कांग्रेस कार्यकर्ताओं महिलाओं एवं वरिष्ठ कांग्रेस नेताओं पर भाजपा सरकार के इशारे पर किये गये लाठीचार्ज की निंदा करते हुये कहा कि इस घटना से भाजपा सरकार का असली चेहरा उजागर हो गया है। जिस प्रकार आज बिलासपुर के कांग्रेस भवन में शांतिपूर्वक बैठे हुए कार्यकर्ताओं के साथ बदसलूकी हुई, वहां महिलाओं को घसीट-घसीट कर पीटा गया, पार्टी के पदाधिकारियों पर लाठी से जानबूझकर सांघातिक वार किया गया, प्रदेश कांग्रेस कमेटी के पदाधिकारी जो शांति से खड़े हुवे थे, का सर फोड़ा गया वो निंदनीय है
प्रदेश सचिव ने जारी बयान में कहा कि मंत्री के कांग्रेस पार्टी के खिलाफ दिए गए हल्के बयान से नाराज कार्यकर्ताओ ने लोकतांत्रिक तरीके से मंत्री के निवास के सामने कचरा फेंक विरोध दर्ज कराया था और वापस कांग्रेस भवन आ गए उसके आधे घंटे बाद सुनियोजित तरीके से सेकड़ो की संख्या में पुलिश बल ने शांति से कांग्रेस भवन के अंदर बैठे लोगों के ऊपर लाठियां बरसाई वो घोर आपत्तिजनक है और भाजपा सरकार के हिटलर शाही रवैये को दर्शाता है और प्रशासनिक आतंकवाद का जीता जागता उदाहरण है, प्रदेश सचिव अमरजीत चावला ने कहा सत्ता के मद में मंत्री मदहोश हो गए है और सत्ता जाने की सुगबुगाहट से विचलित हो कर पुलिश और प्रशासन का दुरुपयोग कर रहे है कांग्रेस नेता ने दोषी अधिकारियों पर तत्काल कार्यवाही की मांग करते हुवे कहा कि जल्द कार्यवाही हो अन्यथा कार्यवाही ना होने की सूरत में वो प्रधानमंत्री के छत्तीसगढ़ आगमन के दिन उनके समक्ष आत्मदाह करेंगे
